What is a mark penny, and do you still make them?

A mark penny is the original masonic coin — a small personal token carried since the 18th century as proof of a member’s place in the fraternity, traditionally struck with a mark the brother chose for himself. Antique mark pennies are collector pieces, and we don’t buy, sell, or appraise them. What we do make is the modern equivalent: a custom minted coin for your lodge, with your artwork, your wording, and your choice of size, plating, and edge. Most lodges order a lodge coin for the membership and a separate personalized version for degree ceremonies.
