Happy Holidays From Signature Coins!
There are all kinds of events throughout the year that include custom coins. In the spring, we make graduation coins and wedding coins, during the summer we make special sports team coins, and once fall roll around, people come to us looking for special holiday coins.
We love making Christmas challenge coins for parties, special events and fundraisers during this time of year. Our team works hard to make sure every design captures a little holiday spirit, especially when the coins are created for men and women who might not be able to spend time with their families during the season.
With Christmas so close, we decided to share a few coins that were designed to spread holiday cheer and honor the men and women who will be working hard all throughout the Christmas season to keep us safe.
The Lakeland Police Christmas Parade Coins
While it would be nice if everyone could sit back, relax and enjoy the show, there is still important work to be done. The Parade Detail is responsible for making sure all the festivities go off without a hitch. The officers help guide the performers through the parade route and keep all of the spectators safe during the show.
These Parade Detail coins were handed out as a sign of appreciation and respect to the police officers who will have to work during the event. It’s not easy to leave your family during some of the season’s most exciting spectacles, but it’s an important job that needs to be done. While a custom holiday coin can’t replace time with family and friends, we’re happy to have helped create a special Christmas gift for the officers who will be on duty in Lakeland.
Holiday Party Coins For Our Nation’s Soldiers
Military holiday parties are an important morale boost for the soldiers, sailor and airmen who will not be able to spend time with their families during Christmas. They may not be the same as spending time with family, but special holiday parties and programs like Adopt-a-Sailor and Adopt-a-Soldier give servicemen and women a home for the holidays. The custom coins we make for them are a fun gift that commemorates the event.
These ticket shaped challenge coins were created for the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit in Jacksonville, Florida. Ticket shaped coins are a fun idea for military birthday balls and holiday parties, and even though they share a common shape, they all have unique artwork.
Santa and his slay are the first things you see on the front of this coin. However, the unique pattern on the back of is our favorite part of the design. The swirling snow reminds us of all of our holiday favorites like quiet evenings by the fire, mugs of hot chocolate, and the twinkling of Christmas lights through the neighborhood.
This next coin was designed for the crew of the USS Somerset. Having the coins cut in the shape of the actual ship makes this design just a little more meaningful to the crew members who will be taking them home. The contact also asked that we include the ship’s emblem on the bow and to create a unique diamond plate pattern on the back of the coins to give each one a unique texture.
While this coin may not look as though it has a Christmas theme, the event they were created for is all about celebrating the holidays with close friends and family. After the night is over, crew members will take these coins home as a token of the event and symbol of appreciation for their hard work during the holiday season.
Celebrating the Holidays With a Custom Gift
While holiday parties and custom Christmas challenge coins may not replace spending time with close family and friends, they do manage to capture the spirit of the seasons and bring holiday joy to the people who will be watching over us while we celebrate.
We’ve been honored to work with all kinds of different organizations and teams during the Christmas season every year. Boys Town creates special race medals for their annual Candy Cane Run, and members of the 501st Legion sometimes order Christmas themed Star Wars coins and Christmas ornaments that are used to raise money for important causes.
