Using Custom Challenge Coins for Fundraisers

November 30th, 2011

Groups and organizations of all types rely on fundraisers to help solicit donations for the various programs, workshops, and services that they provide to the public.  These groups are constantly looking for new and exciting ideas and one that we would like to offer is the creation and selling of custom challenge coins.  As a leading challenge coin manufacturer, we know exactly how important it is to have a product that sells.  How else are you going to raise the funds that you need throughout the year?

Custom challenge coins offer you the creative freedom that you desire while providing donors with a gift item rich in personal meaning.  Instead of selling consumables like pizzas, cookie dough, and other types of baked goods, why not create an item that lasts throughout the year?  Challenge coins make a big impression on the people that they are given to.  Best of all, they can be created in a way that draws attention to your group or organization by people who may not even know that you exist.

That’s right!  Challenge coins are a great way to gain public support.  Donors who receive a coin from you are quick to show it off.  This gets other people involved in your fundraising efforts.  This doubles your success by receiving donations from members of your community that you may not have otherwise reached through other efforts.

There are a number of different ways to make your challenge coins stand out.  Here are some ideas to consider:

  • Irregular shapes and sizes
  • Decorative edges
  • 3D molding
  • Cutouts
  • Sequential numbering
  • Dual plating

Take your fundraising efforts to the next level.  Visit http://www.signaturecoins.com today to request a free price quote.  We’ll be happy to send you a full color digital proof featuring your idea as well.  You can email your ideas to info@signaturecoins.com or call 1-800-953-3607 toll-free.

Custom Challenge Coins for National Novel Writing Month

November 28th, 2011

National Novel Writing Month, also known as NaNoWriMo, was created in 1999 by Chris Baty.  He gathered 21 people from the San Francisco Bay area and encouraged them to write a full length novel from start to finish in 30 days or less.  What happened from that point is history.  National Novel Writing Month took on a whole new meaning for people around the world.  Once it was talked about on the Internet, the idea spread like wildfire.  Aspiring novelists from around the world sign up for the free challenge which requires its participants to crank out a 50,000 word book in one month’s time.

In addition to bragging rights, winners of the 30 day challenge are given a badge that they can place on their blogs and websites.  Wouldn’t be every bit as fitting to give the members of your writing group or guild a custom challenge coin featuring information about this year’s theme and each novelist’s accomplishment?  Custom challenge coins are perfect for awards ceremonies and other types of recognition events.  You can show the people in your writing group how serious you are about your craft by contacting Signature Coins and having us design a coin for this year’s NaNoWriMo.

Custom challenge coins are incredibly detailed, beautiful works of art.  They are different from other types of awards because they are highly personal.  Recipients of the coins can instantly see what they were designed to represent.  That’s because there is often two sets of images and text on each coin.  The double sided design of the challenge coin makes it possible to include something about National Novel Writing Month as well as information about your local club or guild.  This is a great way to encourage others to participate in next year’s challenge.

One message in particular stands out during NaNoWriMo.  50,000 words in 30 days is quite an accomplishment for even the most seasoned writer.  Imagine how much pride one of your members will display when he or she is recognized for his or her achievement.  Custom challenge coins are the ultimate token of appreciation and reward.

Visit http://www.signaturecoins.com today to request a no obligation, free quote and full color digital proof.  You can also email info@signaturecoins.com or call 1-800-953-3607 toll-free to inquire about our services.  We can’t wait to help you come up with a design that fits the personality of your writers and sums up their accomplishments during National Novel Writing Month.

Thanksgiving Challenge Coins Remind Others to Appreciate What They Have

November 23rd, 2011

Thanksgiving is a time for appreciating what you have.  It’s a time to give to those that are less fortunate.  The holidays are a great time to share your philanthropic spirit with others.  If you’re a business owner or head of charity, you can reward your donors’ efforts with custom challenge coins.  Not only does this give you extra exposure in your community, it helps you secure future donations.

Placing your custom challenge coin gifts in a velvet bag or velvet box is one way to really impress those people who are committed to making your business or organization a success.  If you decide to host a Thanksgiving banquet or awards ceremony, these attractive gifts are fitting additions to the event.

Custom challenge coins are attractive and meaningful.  They have a message that people can relate to.  Because they are two sided, this allows local chapters of national foundations and organizations to represent themselves on one coin.  This is a great way to get others to take notice of the needs that you face.  When it comes to helping others in the community, ever donation makes a huge difference.

You can add a number of different elements to your Thanksgiving coins as a way of making them more attractive for their recipients.  You can include glitter, glow-in-the-dark enamel, a decorative edge, a 3D image or a cut out.  You can also experiment with different sizes and shapes.  That’s right.  Your custom challenge coins do not have to be round or square.  They can be cut to shape.  That means if you want a turkey shaped Thanksgiving challenge coin, it’s possible.

Homebuilders Use Custom Challenge Coins to Thank Customers

November 16th, 2011

Homebuilders nationwide use custom challenge coins to thank their customers.  This is a professional and unique way to employ word-of-mouth marketing because these items are effective pieces of advertising.  Homeowners share their experience with their family members, friends, and work colleagues.  These favorable reviews yield new business for homebuilders.

Unlike other types of promotional gifts, challenge coins are long lasting and greatly appreciated.  Because of their custom nature, they are relevant and attractive.  Instead of using business cards or writing out thank you cards, homebuilders can hand out challenge coins.  These items make a favorable impression wherever they go.

In addition to customizing the size and shape of their coins, homebuilders can choose the following options:

  • Decorative Edges
  • Sequential Numbering
  • Dual Plating
  • Glow-in-the-Dark Enamel
  • 3D Images
  • Cut Outs
  • Antique Gold
  • Antique Silver
  • Antique Copper

Features like these add to the distinctive look of custom challenge coins.  You can even opt to add a loop or bottle opener to your homebuilding coins as a way of setting yourself apart from the competition.  This is a great way to appeal to new customers and to thank those who trusted you to build their homes and businesses.

If you want to take your homebuilding business to a whole new level, you’ll want custom coins of your own.  Visit http://www.signaturecoins.com today to inquire about our services.  You can also email info@signaturecoins.com or call 1-800-953-3607 to ask a question or request a price quote and full color digital proof.

Custom Challenge Coins to Honor Significant Donations

November 15th, 2011

Donors contribute money to worthy causes.  Without their support, many organizations, foundations, and charities wouldn’t be the success that they are today.  With that being said, it makes sense to reward the generous men and women in your community with custom challenge coins.  They are attractive, long lasting, and meaningful which makes them the perfect gift to give.  If you want to honor the philanthropists in your community, this is a great place to start.

Custom challenge coins can be designed in a number of different ways.  If you want your donor coins to stand out, you can choose a unique size or shape.  This is a great way to get others to take notice of your organization, foundation or business.  Next, you’ll want to make sure that your design represents your cause.  You can do this easily by adding a logo, image or photograph to the artwork that will be featured on your challenge coins.

Our graphics team can help you do just that.  This step ensures that you get your message across quickly and easily.  Last but not least, you’ll want to add text.  This helps identify the donors and acknowledges their contribution to your group, non-profit or charitable organization.  You can extend your message to both sides of your coin easily. This helps donors know who you are and what causes you support.

If you want a memorable way to thank those involved with helping your organization achieve its goals, you’ll want to order custom challenge coins from Signature Coins.  We can help turn any concept you have into a gift worth giving out any time of year.  Visit http://www.signaturecoins.com, email info@signaturecoins.com or call 1-800-953-3607 today to request a free quote.

Pope County, Arkansas Salute to Freedom Task Force Thanks Us for Challenge Coins

November 11th, 2011

In honor of Veterans Day, we decided to share the following testimonial with you, our customers.  In addition to creating a coin that was rich in sentimental value and personal history, we were able to provide our customer with free shipping.  This is one of the reasons why we are one of the leading challenge coin manufacturers around.

Here’s what the Pope County Salute to Freedom Task Force had to say about the coin that we created for them:

On behalf of the Pope County, Arkansas Salute to Freedom Task Force, an official thank you to you and to your organization for making this coin happen. The presentation of this challenge coin to our veterans is the center piece of our annual Veterans Day Salute to Freedom Ceremony which will be held at 5pm tomorrow (11-11-11) immediately following our Veterans Day Parade at 4:00pm.

The parade is the largest Veterans Day parade in the state of Arkansas.  It includes a flyover by two A-10 Thunderbolt II Aircraft (Warthogs) and also many bands and floats.

The ceremony lasts about 45 minutes and it is during this ceremony that this year’s honorees will be asked to form a line and to “step off the helicopter”, a 40 foot by 8 foot mural of a Chinook helicopter to be greeted by 1,000 of cheering fans from our community.  As soon as they step off the helicopter they are greeted by several general officers (1 & 2 star) and civic leaders.

As our honorees step off the stage they are then greeted by a double flanking honor guard composed of all others veterans present including: WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, OIE and OEF men veterans.

It is going to be our best event ever much in part to you and your company.  I look forward to working with you next year with many weeks more advance notice.

With Respect and Appreciation,

Jim Bob Humphrey, Chairman

Pope County Salute to Freedom Task Force

Russellville, AR

Creating Custom Challenge Coins for Your Amusement Park Gift Shop

November 8th, 2011

People from all corners of the globe enjoy the thrill of visiting an amusement park.  In addition to offering exciting rides, quality entertainment, and delicious food to eat, these tourist hotspots provide individuals, families, and groups memories that last a lifetime.  Custom challenge coins featuring the park’s most popular rides make the perfect souvenir for coaster enthusiasts to take home with them.  Unique and memorable, they also make great gift items for friends, family members, and co-workers.

Custom challenge coins can be created in a number of different ways.  If you are in charge of merchandising, you’ll want to consider what options appeal most to the visitors of your amusement park.  First and foremost, you’ll need to decide whether the coins should be single or double sided.  Next, you’ll want to pick the rides that you want to feature of the coins.  This is how you get customers into your gift shops to buy souvenirs.

Once you’ve decided these two details, you’ll want to determine whether or not you want your image to be 3D.  If you do, we create a mold of your image and add it to your coin.  This gives it depth and definition.  People love the look of 3D images.  If you want the challenge coins to look differently, you can have them dual plated which allows your design to be created in two metals versus one.  Sequential numbering, glow-in-the-dark enamel, and decorative edges are just a few of the other ways you can help your challenge coins stand out.

Getting customers into your gift shops is easy when you include challenge coins in your inventory.  Visit http://www.signaturecoins.com today to see the different options that we offer your amusement park.  You can also email info@signaturecoins.com or call 1-800-953-3607 toll-free to request a free price quote.  Your newest rollercoaster or attraction makes a great theme for your custom amusement park challenge coins.

Offset Printed Challenge Coins Are Great for Pictures and Exact Images
